Search for a contact
Where to find it: Inbox > Contatos (Contacts).1
Open Contatos
In the Inbox menu, click Contatos.

Search
Type a name, phone number, or email in the search field.

Filter if needed
Use Status or Tag to narrow the list.
Search also finds contacts by their external ID and by phone digits.
Sync WhatsApp contacts
Where to find it: Inbox > Contatos, sync button in the header.1
Click the sync button
The tooltip shows “Sincronizar contatos do WhatsApp”.

Tartini pulls the contacts from the connected address book.
Open and edit a contact
Where to find it: click the contact in the list.1
Click the contact
Opens the contact record.

Edit the name
Click the pencil next to the name, type the new name, and save.
Merge duplicate contacts
By default, contacts with the same phone number on different channels don’t merge on their own. Where to find it: contact card, in the conversation’s details panel or in the record, Mesclar (Merge) button.1

Choose the primary contact
This is who receives the history after the merge.

Search for duplicates
Type at least two letters. The screen suggests candidates with a matching phone number, IP, or name.

Confirm
Click Mesclar N contato(s) (Merge N contact(s)) and then Confirmar (Confirm).
Understand the empty list
With no contacts yet, the screen shows “Nenhum contato ainda”. With filters that find nothing, it shows “Nenhum contato para esta busca” and the Limpar filtros (Clear filters) button. The list loads 30 contacts per page, with infinite scroll. If you open a contact’s record and go back, the list appears the way you left it, including the same scroll position.Frequently asked questions

WhatsApp contacts only appear once they exist in Tartini. Sync to bring in the ones that are only in the address book.
