An approved template lets you reach out to the customer first, outside WhatsApp’s normal support window. They power Tartini’s campaigns and any contact your company initiates.
Available for WABA channels. Who manages: Administrator, Company Manager, Area Manager, and Unit Manager. The Tartini interface is in Portuguese. Screen and button names appear here exactly as on screen, with the translation in parentheses.

Create a template

By default, a new WABA channel has no templates registered. Where to find it: Configurações > Canais > WABA > Gerenciar Templates (Settings > Channels > WABA > Manage Templates).

Open the templates screen

In the WABA channel, click Gerenciar Templates (Manage Templates).

Start a new template

Click Novo Template (New Template).

Give it a name and choose the category

Fill in Nome do Template (Template name) and choose between Marketing and Utilidade (Utility).

Write the message body

Type the text in Corpo da Mensagem (Message body). To include a piece of data that changes on every send, click one of the Campos Disponíveis (Available fields) to insert the variable, such as {{nome}}.

Complete anything else needed

Add a Cabeçalho (Header), Rodapé (Footer), or up to three Botões (Buttons), if the template needs them.

Send for approval

Click Criar Template (Create Template).
Limits: name up to 512 characters, body up to 1024, header and footer up to 60 each, up to 3 buttons. Variables use lowercase letters and _, no spaces, and never sit at the start or end of the body.

Track the status

Every template you submit goes through Meta’s approval:
  • Em revisão (Under review): waiting for Meta to review it.
  • Aprovado (Approved): ready for use in campaigns and conversations.
  • Rejeitado (Rejected): Meta declined the template.
You get a notification the moment the status changes, with no need to refresh the page.

Edit or delete a template

Open the template

In the template list, click Editar (Edit).

Change what's needed

Adjust the text, header, footer, or buttons.

Save

Click Salvar Alterações (Save changes) and confirm.
Editing a template sends it back to Meta for approval, and you can’t edit it again for the next 24 hours.
To delete, click Excluir (Delete) on the template’s row and confirm.
Deleting a template removes it from Meta and can’t be undone. A template in use by an active campaign can’t be edited. A template used by any campaign, active or not, can’t be deleted.

Where templates are used

Approved templates appear when you create a campaign, to start the conversation with the customer.

Frequently asked questions

It’s in use by an active campaign, or it’s still within the 24-hour lock after the last edit.
Not from the current screen: templates created in Tartini come out in Brazilian Portuguese.
It’s marked Rejeitado (Rejected) in the list. Edit the text and submit it again for a new review.
