# The letters

> The three type families and their roles, the scale, and the wordmark.

Three families, each with a role: Schibsted Grotesk speaks loudly, Hanken Grotesk carries the product, and IBM Plex Mono identifies the machine.

## The three families

Schibsted Grotesk, in weights 700 and 800, appears in headings, large numbers, and the wordmark, always with negative tracking around −0.04em. Hanken Grotesk carries almost every word in the product: body copy, labels, buttons, forms, and error messages.

IBM Plex Mono marks everything that is machine. When the artificial intelligence speaks, writes, or signs, it is in mono, and it identifies itself. Metadata, protocols, timestamps, and labels follow the same family. This is about transparency: no one should have to guess whether they talked to a person.

**The fourth letter.** Caveat exists for the handwritten notes over the site's screens, as if someone had scribbled in pencil over the printout. One weight, one use, and never as reading typography.

## Wordmark

Always lowercase, tartini, in Schibsted 800. In running text, capitalize the initial letter. Inter, Roboto, Arial, and Space Grotesk are not used. Bricolage Grotesque is SAN's font and stays with SAN.

## Scale

The kicker is scarce by design. When every section opens with a mono label, the label turns into template rhythm and stops helping the reader get their bearings: the section's position on the page already categorizes it.
